The Bourne Legacy is the 4th installment in the Bourne franchise, starring Jeremy Renner—not as Jason Bourne—but as Aaron Cross. Taking place in a timeline parallel to that of the prior trilogy, Legacy sees Cross as a mentally and physically enhanced soldier, modified by the secret “Operation Outcome.” As Jason Bourne exposes the secret ops of the previous films, Air Force colonel Eric Byer (Edward Norton) seeks to destroy all those involved with Operation Outcome. Dr. Marta Shearing (Rachel Weisz) escapes and, together with Cross, must fight tooth and nail avoid being eliminated by a brainwashed “super soldier” known as Larx-03.
